POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Vice Chair of Research, Department Administrator or designee for the Department of Emergency Medicine, the Program Manager will oversee the application, implementation, progress, and evaluation of complex multi-year, multi-site projects/programs. In conjunction with the Vice Chair, the Program Manager will oversee all aspects of projects/programs within CAPES (The Center for Accelerating Practices to End Suicide) and define scope, milestones, and deliverables for each project/program. The Program Manager will coordinate and mobilize staff, faculty, consultants and other resources at multi-University, program site, and funding levels to assure timely and effective implementation of project work. The Program Manager will set and meet project/program deadlines and monitor and summarize progress of projects/programs in reports; facilitate administrative and operational activities for the CAPES team and the Emergency Medicine Department; and contribute to the development and implementation of departmental and organizational strategies, polices, and practices. The Program Manager will also be responsible for performing diversified and complex administrative, financial, and pre- and post-award budgetary functions in support of CAPES, to include both responsibilities for both restricted and unrestricted departmental funds. In addition, the Program Manager will be responsible for the Philanthropy efforts for CAPES. The Program Manager will oversee the management, communications, relationship management, fundraising, and sustainability for CAPES, and contribute to strategic thinking for program development and evolution to support the large-scale mission of the CAPES team and Department of Emergency Medicine.
