POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) or designee, the Clinical Research Coordinator III is responsible for independently performing delegated tasks and procedures involving human subject research. This work includes coordination of regulatory activities and aspects of collection and management of data for complex research protocols related to treatment, ancillary services, and prevention practices. Help us set up our laboratories and get our studies running efficiently as we move our research programs from other institutions to UMass Chan! The laboratories of A.M. Barrett and Kevin Houston are seeking an experienced clinical research coordinator who is knowledgeable about regulatory guidelines and comfortable managing small to medium-sized clinical trials.
The investigators will be conducting a clinical trial on prism adaptation therapy, an exciting new rehabilitation intervention for spatial neglect. Spatial neglect is a common impairment of spatial cognition occurring in more than half of strokes and other unilateral brain injuries. .
Other clinical studies include but are not limited to a multisite trial on a new device for visual field expansion in homonymous hemianopia (half field blindness), and a study on the development of a new therapy approach for paralysis of eye movements.
