We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Fellow to work within our growing research group in the Dermatology Department to study vitiligo. Our general approach is to seamlessly integrate basic, translational, and clinical research strategies to improve our understanding of vitiligo pathogenesis with the goal of developing new treatments to improve the lives of patients with the disease. The successful candidate would work in a specialized team of researchers to use existing gene expression data to validate key pathways and perform functional experiments using both human tissue and mouse models of the disease. Experience in immunology is strongly desired, as well as a demonstrated ability to work within a diverse team of scientists to accomplish a common goal.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in immunology or a related biomedical science.
Experience with single cell RNA sequencing and other next-generation sequencing techniques is strongly desired.
The potential candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills and be eager to present research results at lab, regional, and national meetings. Prior experience studying autoimmunity is advantageous, but not required.
