GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
“Introduction to Scientific Communication”
The RNA Therapeutics Institute faculty are recognized as scientific trailblazers, and include a Nobel Laureate, a Gairdner Prize recipient, the 2018 RNA Society early and mid-career award recipients, and two Howard Hughes Medical Institute Investigators. The student will be exposed to a department conducting world-renowned research, as well the opportunity to learn how to communicate science effectively to a variety of audiences in real-world contexts. The student will also learn how to communicate the need for basic science, and which modes of communication are best for a range of audiences.
This is a 10-week internship and the pay is $15/hour. The position is expected to be full-time over those 10 weeks.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The student will have the opportunity to interact with research faculty and staff to gain knowledge and understanding of the research activities in the department.
