OVERVIEW:
Inpatient/Outpatient Psychiatrist at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, Boston
The University of Massachusetts Medical School is seeking a full-time board-certified psychiatrist who is interested in serving underprivileged populations, including those with substance use disorders and incarcerated patients for a position at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital, a MA DPH teaching hospital located in Boston. This position will have a mixture of inpatient (60%) and outpatient (40%) responsibilities and is integrated into numerous multidisciplinary treatment teams throughout the hospital. The successful candidate must have a current and valid MA medical license and unrestricted DEA and MA Controlled Substance Registration, possess at minimum 5 years of post-residency experience, experience in working with inpatients in a consultation liaison capacity, and interest and experience in working with incarcerated patients and patients with Substance Use Disorders. Although not a requirement, the Shattuck leaders have a desirable interest for an individual having ECT experience or possible interest to develop skills in this area.
