As a member of the Digital Solutions organization at ForHealth Consulting, the Manager, Software Quality Assurance - FHC will lead a team of QA Analysts, Test Automation Engineers, implement best QA practices, contribute to delivering quality portfolio of innovative solutions utilized by our clients and internal business partners to advance the capabilities of healthcare organizations nationwide. Reporting to the Deputy Managing Director of Solutions Engineering and Operations, the Manager, Software Quality Assurance - FHC will be responsible for supporting multiple solution engineering teams, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with multiple software/solution engineering teams, business analysts, scrum masters, product owners and other stakeholders ensuring quality of the products.
Take ownership of overall testing practices, effectively manage QA processes with a drive for continuous improvement.
Review testing practices, identify and implement best practices.
Nurture and grow strong QA organization that tests diverse software solutions and products with high efficiency.
Coordinate and collaborate with stakeholders in defining the priorities and deliverables.
Constantly look for opportunities, aggressively implement test automation, regression testing strategies, QA process improvements.
Work with engineering teams to improve and maintain continuous integration, automated test frameworks and test scripts.
Triage and escalate priority on critical pending issues and communicate with the responsible development engineers and other stakeholders.
Provide hands-on testing while leading a team of QA engineers who test desktop, web/mobile applications, case management systems developed using using cloud technologies, platform/software as a service platforms, relational databases and various programming languages following agile development practices.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelors degree Computer Science, Information Management Systems, a related field, or equivalent experience
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
8+ years of experience in software quality assurance of desktop, web/mobile applications.
3+ years of management/supervisory responsibility of test / software QA engineers.
Strong RDBMS concepts, work experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server, writing complex queries and validating results.
Experience using bug tracking tools, preferably work experience with Microsoft Azure DevOps.
Thorough understanding of full software development life cycle, in agile development environment.
Experience in designing test plans, developing and executing manual and automated test cases.
Ability to analyze test results to ensure correct functionality and recommend corrective action.
Working proficiency in at least one of the coding or scripting languages like C#, Javascript, Java, Python.
Demonstrate expertise with Transact-SQL (T-SQL), PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Triggers, Replication, DTS, Query tuning and optimization and other advanced SQL features.
Strong knowledge of web protocols, networking, open source tools, continuous integration and delivery concepts; XML, XSD, JSON, WSDL, and SOAP, Active Directory, SQL, Test Automation Frameworks.
Understanding of applications designed with service oriented architecture (SOA), Micro Services, APIs, Web Services, with experience in associated testing methods.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of latest software development technologies and trends to improve software QA process and methods.
PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE
Current hands-on QA experience with platform/software as a service platforms.
Experience in data analytics, enterprise data reports and dashboard testing.
Experience with digital health systems, understanding of HIPAA.
