GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Under the general direction of the Manager or designee, the System Administration Engineer II is a technical specialist role in the System Administration area supporting network operating systems in a multiple platform environment.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides third level support to end users
- Install and maintain data processing hardware and software
- Involved in the implementation and support of subsystems i.e. backups, e-mail, anti-virus etc.
- Acknowledge and resolve user service requests
- Broad application of standard principles, concepts and techniques, plus working knowledge of related fields
- Resolve a diverse range of complex problems, uses judgment within defined policies
- Contribute to the development of organizational goals and objectives
- Frequent cross organization and outside customer contact.
- Represent the organization on projects
- Perform other duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or equivalent experience.
- 4 years of related work experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with Azure AD and IAM (identity / access management)
- Experience in zero trust methodologies
- Experience with Microsoft E5/A5/ Security
- Experience with PowerShell, Logic Apps
- Experience working with teams implementing cloud concepts and services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide documentation
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing
