Postdoc Position Available at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, MA, U.S.A.

One NIH-funded postdoctoral position is immediately available in the Futai laboratory in the Department of Neurobiology at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School (UMCMS). Our research concentrates on the elucidation of the molecular basis underlying modulatory system development in neuronal circuits and social behavior by a multidisciplinary approach integrating electrophysiology, molecular biology, bioinformatics, high-resolution imaging, fiber photometry, and animal behaviors.

This position requires Ph.D. degree in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, Physiology, or related biological areas.  The individual must have knowledge in cellular biology, molecular biology, electrophysiology, and/or animal behaviors, and have peer-reviewed publications.

The Futai laboratory focuses on elucidating the roles of trans-synaptic molecules in the serotonergic system development that relates to social behavior. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who is eager to participate in our collaborative environment. We especially encourage individuals who are interested in elucidating molecular mechanisms important for neuromodulatory system development by integrating your expertise and in vivo fiber photometry, to apply.

Salary will follow guidelines set by NIH and UMCMS.

Please submit your Curriculum Vitae, a research statement, and three references to Kensuke.Futai@umassmed.edu.
