The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biotechnology (BMB) at UMass Chan Medical School seeks applicants for an Academic Administrator position. The Administrator is responsible for planning and managing the business affairs of a large, vibrant fundamental science department. The Administrator also provides high-level administrative, budgetary, recruitment and organizational support to the Department Chair.
We are searching for a highly motivated and enthusiastic leader, committed to diversity, creativity, and collaboration, to join our team and to play an active role in the Department as we expand in a new phase of growth. The Department has 29 faculty and over 150 employees, including lab personnel, administrative staff, graduate students and interns.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Department Chair or designee, the Academic Administrator position is responsible for planning and managing the administrative and business affairs of a department whose functions include education, research, clinical care, and service.
