Post-Doctoral Researcher in Health Systems Science

We are seeking an exceptional postdoctoral fellow to join the Division of Health Systems at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia characterized by progressive loss of cognitive function. Unfortunately, clinical interventions for AD have largely failed despite enormous efforts. The postdoc will work on the development of multimodal machine learning methods to integrate different datasets to investigate AD heterogeneity and risk. A wide range of data will be taken into consideration, including genetics data, neuroimages, and wearable devices. The postdoc will have the opportunity to work with an interdisciplinary team of investigators and receive diverse training opportunities in bioinformatics and machine learning.

The postdoctoral fellow will analyze multimodal data for AD. He/she is expected to present data in lab meetings, departmental seminars, and national and international conferences, and to prepare manuscripts under the guidance of the PI.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, computer science, or a related field within the past 5 years. Candidates should also have excellent communication skills and the desire to work in an interdisciplinary environment. Interested individuals could send a cover letter, CV, and contact information for three references to Dr. Honghuang Lin (Honghuang.Lin@umassmed.edu).
