POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Executive Director or Designee, the Business & Network Development Specialist, Disability and Community Based Services (DCS) will be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies designed to grow the Consultative Examination Network within Disability and Community Based Services and improve quality, access, and efficiency of service delivery. The Business & Network Development Specialist, serves as a key member of the DCS management team, leading the team as needed at the request of or in the absence of the Executive Director. This position will oversee all program activities in the area of contracts and credentialing, as well as recruiting and maintaining providers to support contracted work. Regional travel, primarily Massachusetts and bordering states, required.
Provide reinforcement to the Executive Director in strategic planning, service delivery, and service integration for Disability and Community Based Services
Develop strong collaborative relationships with Consultative Examiners throughout the region, as well as remote telehealth providers when appropriate, and within Commonwealth Medicine at all levels.
Lead and manage network development including marketing and recruitment strategies, ongoing analysis of provider network data for service gaps and retention plans for existing examiners. Participate in major business development and planning projects and assist in implementing strategic goals and objectives, working closely, continuously, and according to the parameters and timelines discussed and agreed on with Executive Director.
Design and implement new program initiatives related to business growth and development and operational efficiency on site.
Develop and maintain relationships with key potential business partners.
Provide consulting services in assigned business areas.
Assist in negotiation of terms of business agreements and participate at negotiation table as appropriate.
Work with clients, monitor client satisfaction and assist the Executive Director in the resolution of client issues.
Present information and updates to senior staff and develop and maintain the Consultative Examination Network.
Develop and implement strategic plans that promote the growth in out of state revenue generation.
Identify new business development opportunities for the growth and development of Disability and Community Based.
Provide leadership on projects as directed by Executive Director of Disability and Community Based Services.
Develop and Lead performance improvement activities that will enhance the quality of consultative examinations through optimizing program resources and utilizing Quality Management practices.
Negotiate provider contracts with a wide variety of provider types.
Support contract requirements through the recruitment of their preferred health care services providers.
Identify synergy between Disability and Community Based and potential new providers and effectively implement these new provider relationships.
Maintain ongoing review of all contracts for consistency, contract compliance and updated information related to contract payment, expiration dates.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing communications or healthcare related fields; or equivalent.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
5 years of sales and/or provider recruitment and network development experience.
Proven ability to implement and perform complex contracting strategies and negotiations.
Proven administrative and management ability in a complex environment preferably in sales, health care or other related service industry.
Demonstrated performance in strategic planning and analysis.
Demonstrated ability to perform within budgetary constraints delivering a consistently break even or profitable bottom line.
Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Ability to facilitate meetings and establish productive, professional relationships with executive management, prospective clients and private contractors.
Proven problem solving skills including innovation, flexibility and creativity.
Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to build productive teams and motivate individuals at all levels of an organization in the pursuit of common objectives.
PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE
Proven track record in sales and recruitment.
Experience in process improvement or other quality improvement activities.
Demonstrated communication skills, both oral and written necessary to interact with clients, agency partners, and staff.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills.
