POSITION SUMMARY: 

Under the general direction of the Director, Insurance Resource Center or designee, the Insurance Outreach Coordinator assists the Team in providing information, resources, and technical assistance to consumers, providers, educators, employers, and others around issues related to insurance coverage for autism and behavioral health. The Insurance Outreach Coordinator works as part of a small team, collaborating with internal and external community partners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide information and resources to families and individuals with autism and behavioral health needs
  • Interface with other support and advocacy organizations, provider groups, and others
  • Assist Navigation Managers to fulfill requests for information and resources, and miscellaneous case follow-ups.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports for funders and partners
  • Attend community outreach events and Center events.
  • Assist with fundraising activities.
  • Adhere to University, State and funding agency policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and 3-5 years of related experience in customer service, community outreach.
  • Familiarity with issues affecting people with autism and behavioral health needs, and their families.
  • Self-starter – independent worker,
  • Hold MassHealth Certified Application Counselor designation or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience working in and/or with consumers, providers, educators, and others.
  • Fluent in Spanish preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse constituencies
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn multiple software and communication platforms.
  • Proven administrative ability in complex environments
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations

Please note that the range provided reflects the full base salary range for this position. Offers are typically made within the midrange to allow for future growth and development within the role.
