Seeking Junior Graphic Designer!
Temprite Services is a division within the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Human Resources, which offers various levels of temporary support for departments within the institution as well as our affiliates.
The Implementation Science & Practice Advances Research Center (iSPARC) at UMass Chan Medical School has an immediate opening for a part-time temporary Junior Graphic Designer to design and deliver world-class digital and print materials to disseminate our research to our multiple stakeholders.
This position will be housed within the Implementation Science and Practice Advances Research Center (iSPARC), which aims to conduct, disseminate, and support the use of research in the public mental health system to enhance services for people with behavioral health conditions that promote their recovery and improve their quality of life. (https://umassmed.edu/isparc). The position will be part of iSPARC’s Communications Team.
The role will fully remote.
- Part-time up to 20 hours a week
- 3-month contract guaranteed with potential for longer
Responsibilities include:
- Creating and updating both digital and printed materials
- Re-sizing and formatting of digital assets, including product imagery, brand logos, and more, to meet the requirements of our needs
- Creating engaging visual materials for proposals, posters, events, including invitations, social assets, signage, etc.
- Assisting iSPARC Communications team with the creation of visuals for social media platforms
- Supporting iSPARC faculty and staff with graphic design assistance for presentations
- Executing miscellaneous marketing/sales support activities as needs arise
Requirements:
- Associate degree or higher with 2-4 years of graphic design experience
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio of sample work
- Thorough understanding of brand standards and consistency, color, typography, and attention to detail
- Knowledge of print production processes
- Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills required to juggle multiple simultaneous projects
- Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
- Highly skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.
- Have own a license for Adobe Creative Cloud Suite
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required
- Knowledgeable about ADA and Section 508 compliance to ensure online content is fully accessible to people with disabilities
