Research Associate in Molecular Biology
Job Description:
The Kaufman laboratory in the Department of Molecular, Cell, and Cancer Biology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School is searching for candidates for a new NIH-funded project. We will be studying the interplay of proteins involved in genome organization and genome stability, using molecular, cell biological and genomic methods. Key Responsibilities:
The candidate will contribute directly to the central research programs of the laboratory. We are particularly interested in chromosomal proteins involved in the three-dimensional organization of mammalian genomes, how this organization is altered during innate immune cell activation, and in defense mechanisms against genotoxic stress. In addition to experimental duties, the candidate will contribute to laboratory organization and stock maintenance.
