A postdoctoral position is available in the Benanti Lab at the University of Massachusetts Medical School to study the molecular mechanisms that regulate cell growth and division. The Benanti Lab is located in Department of Molecular, Cell and Cancer Biology where postdocs benefit from a modern open lab space with highly interactive colleagues, extensive bioinformatics support, and access to cutting-edge technologies. 

The Benanti Lab utilizes molecular, genetic, and systems biology approaches to study cell cycle regulation in both yeast and human cells. Current projects include, but are not limited to: understanding how the cell cycle-regulatory network is rewired in response to environmental stress, investigating how phosphorylation regulates protein function, and identifying targets of ubiquitin ligases and deubiquitinating enzymes whose functions impact the cell cycle. Candidates should be highly motivated and technically accomplished, as documented by a strong publication record, and hold a recent Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, genetics or related area of study. Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience in genetics and advanced molecular biology approaches.
