POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Managing Director, Business Transformation Solutions (BTS) division, this position provides overall, hands-on business intelligence & analytics on a wide range of initiatives. Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for bringing together data from various sources to analyze and present findings to the business. This role will identify trends, gaps, process improvements and empower the business units to make decisions with insightful analysis of data. It will partner with our external clients on consulting engagements and work cross-functionally with internal departments & senior leadership to determine best practices and solutions for any current (data) quality issues. This position will serve in an integral role developing data-driven business solutions using advanced analytical tools and techniques.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Enables data driven decision making through the development of new analytical solutions, data visualization & tools.
- Creates robust, reusable data querying, transformation, and visualization processes in SQL, Excel and other tools.
- Leads the creation and management of the senior leadership dashboard.
- Engages with clients to build, execute, and sustain measurement systems and key analytical processes.
- Provides advanced data analytics for business units.
- Integrate multiple data sources into on visualization to tell a story.
- Leverages analytics and visualization tools to present information in a way that drives fact-based decision making.
- Partners with key stakeholders to identify business needs and substandard systems.
- Balances technology and business issues as well as communicate appropriately with both technology and business experts.
- Partners with operational leaders on streamlining of data flow processes and quality improvements.
- Performs data analysis using available tools and publish/ design reports as requested.
- Develops workflows, process maps use case diagrams, flowcharts, and other analysis-type documentation.
- Performs industry research to clarify, define, or satisfy technology or business process issues.
- Develops analytical reports and represent large, complex sets of data through visual representation.
- Serves as lead business intelligence consultant on client engagements and projects.
- Monitors and manages project scope and enforce change management.
- Helps align organizational efforts to measurable outcomes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, mathematics, information technology or related field.
- 5 - 7 years of progressive experience in analytics or technology.
- Experience in creating reports, dashboards, models and presentations to support informed decisioning.
- Experience in using mathematics, data visualization tools, business analysis, and technology to transform. high volumes of complex data into solutions.
- Advanced in MS Excel, MS Access, Tableau.
- Proficient in SQL and VBA.
- Experience with Qlik, Qilkview, QuickSight, d3.js.
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving & communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to travel.
