
GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Department of Surgery of the University of Massachusetts Medical School, is an academic surgical program located in Worcester, Massachusetts. Clinical care encompasses the three main campuses of UMass Memorial Medical Center (University, Memorial, and Hahnemann), as well as affiliated hospitals. The department is committed to providing state-of- the-art surgical care to patients from throughout the New England region. In addition, this busy and growing department is actively involved with advancing the art of surgery, through research focused on new approaches to patient care, as well as surgical training and education of the next generation of surgeons.
Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or designee, the Clinical Research Assistant is responsible for performing delegated tasks and procedures involving human subjects in support of clinical research protocols.
