The Horae Gene Therapy Center (GTC) in the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) consists of investigators from several departments engaged in dynamic and collaborative research. A post-doctoral position is available in the Gene Therapy Center in Dr. Terence Flotte’s Laboratory funded through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

This project focuses on genetic therapies utilizing genomic engineering of immune cells.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants should have a PhD in Immunology and/or Biomedical Sciences with research experience in the field of immunology.  Applicants must have strong skills in: tissue culture, in vivo small animal modeling, and general molecular biology techniques.

Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects and activities concurrently, as well as strong writing, verbal and interpersonal skills are required.

Candidates should be highly organized, hard-working and motivated to meet milestones by expected times.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Applicants with experience in: B-cell immunology and culture, therapeutic antibody expression, genome editing and/or CRISPR experience is highly preferred.
