Overview:

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

Under the general direction of the Executive Director of the Office of program Development, the Associate Director oversees delivery of critical, large scale, complex, high-visibility, high-stakes programs in a project delivery model, inclusive of managing program budgets, project management staff, deliverables and outcomes related to scope, schedule and budget.  Responsibilities include owning and providing direction to program staff in preparation and submission of business proposals and preparation of engagement budget, financial projections and analysis, creating standard and ad-hoc financial and management reports to support program planning and forecasting efforts, working with sponsors, key stakeholder, clients, staff and other senior managers in the design, development, implementation and delivery of complex and diverse programs.

Responsibilities:

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Using proven, institutional project delivery methods and with a strong focus on outcomes and client satisfaction deliver large-scale programs in a project delivery, best practice model.
  • Participate in and/or lead the evaluation and development of business opportunities, managing the development and maintenance of new contracts and ISA’s.
  • Assist / lead process improvement initiatives such as developing/enhancing client reporting processes and documents.
  • Design, develop, implement and operationalize CWM service delivery units as needed. Participate in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Develop/strengthen procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement auditing and quality assurance procedures.
  • Facilitate lead cross-function, multi-disciplinary teams from across CWM in a matrix-ed model to deliver complex projects and programs.
  • Manage and lead project staff and assist with hiring, performance review, disciplinary action, and termination.
  • Provide supervision, guidance and on-going training for assigned project/program staff.
  • Lead and participate in CQI activities within the department.
  • Comply with all safety and infection control standards specific to the work site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree with 7-10 years formal program / project management experience, or equivalent.
  • Project Management Certification (PMP) or the ability to obtain certification within one year.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact with all levels of sponsors, clients, highest level executives, and staff.
  • Expert facilitation skills.
  • Occasional travel required

Additional Information:

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree concentration in Healthcare and Business Development and Administration preferable
  • Advanced Program / Project Management Certification (Agile and/or Lean Six Sigma by the industry standard)
