Postdoctoral fellows
The Horae Gene Therapy Center of the University of Massachusetts Medical School invites applications for postdoctoral researcher positions. The research projects include but are not limited to novel AAV discovery, capsid engineering, genome engineering, and gene therapy immunology in AAV vector-mediated in vivo gene delivery for gene therapy, genome editing applications and animal modeling.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should have a PhD in the biomedical sciences or an MD with post graduate scientific training and three to five years of research experience in the field of molecular biology, virology, gene therapy, and immunology. Applicants with strong skills and track records in viral vector development, in vivo gene transfer studies, gene therapy immunology, DNA and cDNA library construction for next generation high throughput sequencing and bioinformatical data analysis are highly preferred. Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple projects and activities concurrently, as well as strong writing, verbal and interpersonal skills are required. Candidates should be highly organized, hard-working and motivated to respond to the changes within the rapidly evolving field of gene therapy.
