The Program Manager plays a key role in advancing enterpriseâwide initiatives that improve health outcomes and strengthen operational excellence across ForHealth Consulting and our partners. Reporting to the Executive Director (or designee), you will help shape, coordinate, and deliver a diverse portfolio of programs and projects that directly support our mission. This role blends strategic thinking, handsâon project leadership, and crossâfunctional collaboration in a dynamic, missionâdriven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and support large, complex projects from early concept and feasibility through full implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Partner with the Director to drive program planning, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and governance activities.
- Coordinate project activities across a varied portfolio, managing resources in a matrixed environment and ensuring teams have the skills and support needed to succeed.
- Build strong relationships with clients and contracted partners, promoting transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, work plans, and communication plans; maintain accurate documentation including decisions, deliverables, change orders, and progress reports.
- Facilitate effective communication among sponsors, steering committees, business units, and project teams to ensure clarity of scope, objectives, and expectations.
- Support the development and enhancement of project management standards, tools, and metrics, including change management and compliance processes.
- Participate in postâproject audits to evaluate outcomes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Lead or support special initiatives such as vendor evaluations, feasibility studies, and business development activities.
- Contribute to strategic planning, contract development, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
- Stay current on trends in healthcare administration to better advise clients and strengthen project outcomes.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support departmental and organizational goals.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in management, Health Care, Business Administration, Human Services or equivalent experience.
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
5 years of demonstrated experience in project management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with staff, clients, and vendor staff.
Ability to lead and direct a matrix project team, as well as the ability to lead and direct effective meetings and work sessions.
Strong computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel to off-site locations.
