The Staff Accountant II is responsible for assisting in maintaining the General Ledger of ForHealth Consulting. The Staff Accountant II also prepares reconciliations and may assist with the HCFS (Health Care Finance Solutions) TPL Lockbox program.
Prepare monthly journal entries and assist in the monthly close process, including reviewing and submitting for approval.
Work with business unit finance staff to ensure journal entry backup is complete, accurate, and in compliance with accounting standards.
Prepare project budget information and upload to PeopleSoft including preparing revisions to budget made throughout the year for approval and subsequent posting.
Review, analyze, and post payments made to the Bursars office to the correct open Accounts Receivable invoice.
Prepare disbursement check payments for subsidiary, including preparing gathering information, preparing file, and uploading to the bank portal for approval.
Prepare monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts of For Health Consulting.
Monitor and reconcile the fixed asset schedule of ForHealth Consulting.
Process consultant agreements, purchase orders and invoices in Buyways; as requested by the finance business unit staff.
Recommend improvements to financial controls and reporting.
Provide management with needed information and assists in problem resolution.
Prepare monthly Financial Reports to be presented at Board meetings.
Perform other duties as required.
May assist in the preparation of the annual Form 990 and PC for filing including ensuring extension and forms are filed timely.
HCFS
• May assist in the HCFS TPL Lockbox Daily reporting and reconciling
• May research case payments made to the lockbox
• May apply payments to member accounts
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Associate's Level Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE
2-4 years accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, or related experience.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial documents such as system reports.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writing skills needed to present or communicate effectively with all levels of management.
