
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Carmona Lab in the Neurobiology Department at UMass Chan Medical School is looking for a candidate with a background in biological sciences to join our group! Our lab studies molecular mechanisms that underly motor learning. We utilize a range of techniques including in vivo imaging, optogenetics, and single-cell transcriptomic profiling. We welcome applicants with any level of experience, but the position would be particularly suitable for those with some background in rodent handling, rodent surgery, histology, or molecular biology techniques. Applicants with strong quantitative skills for data analysis would also be a great fit. This would be a great opportunity with strong mentoring for younger trainees looking to develop their skills in experimental and analytical approaches.

Under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) or designee, the Research Associate provides operational support to the laboratory. The Research Associate will perform research experiments as defined by the PI.
