POSITION SUMMARY: 

Under the direction of the Directors of Adult Gerontology, Family & Psych Mental Health NP Programs, Graduate Entry Pathway (GEP) or designee, the Sr Clinical Partnership Coordinator is responsible for independently organizing, and coordinating activities relative to student placements with preceptors, clerkships, and assisting faculty with UMass Medical School courses. This individual will work closely with faculty and staff to build and maintain relationships with our clinical partners to facilitate student clinical experiences. The Sr Clinical Partnership Coordinator will act as a resource to students, faculty, clinical faculty, sites and school administration in matters or questions relating to the department’s clinical placements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Recruits and enlists clinical sites for all levels of GSN student learning experiences.
  • Works closely with GSN track coordinators and faculty to plan, coordinate, and evaluate clinical experiences.
  • Facilitates clinical experiences in accordance with established educational standards and applicable clinical agency guidelines.
  • Collaborates with clinical agency representatives to ensure initiation and maintenance of required clinical affiliation contracts.
  • Maintains accountability for overseeing the completion of all required clinical clearance paperwork between clinical partner and the GSN.
  • Serves as point of contact between agencies and the GSN related to clinical rotations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5+ years of nursing and/or healthcare related experience.
  • Previous project management skills / experience required
  • Ability to act as a catalyst for creative change, organizational development and program quality/efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with community partners.
  • Knowledge of health care systems organization and structure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, data analysis and report generation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • RN licensure or experience in Healthcare Administration
