GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: 

Under the direction of the Program Director or designee, the Clinical Director is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing clinical services for supervising the staff, delivering services and for developing in service training to meet staff needs.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee clinical operation of an inpatient treatment program
  • Responsible for the coordination of treatment team  planning conferences
  • Serve as a primary clinician for a case load of clients, providing individual, group and family therapy
  • Provide clinical consultation and administrative supervision to primary clinicians for an inpatient treatment program
  • Ensure compliance with local and federal regulatory standards. Review treatment and related documentation to assure compliance
  • Identify program needs and provide and facilitate evidence-based practices at the individual, family, system, milieu, and group levels to meet the clinical needs of the population
  • Apply and maintain rigorous continuous quality improvement programming
  • Ensure implementation of and facilitate milieu-based treatment team goals by coordination with milieu leadership and staff
  • Schedule staff, ensuring coverage for vacation, leave and sick time
  • Supervise a multidisciplinary group of clinicians, including but not limited to Occupational Therapy, Social Work, and Psychology. Assist other leaders in providing supervision
  • Complete performance evaluations for staff. Assess ongoing performance according to policy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree in a Human Services related field.
  • 2-3 years full-time equivalent experience in the mental health treatment of adolescents.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the program.

Experience leading a high-performing, process, and outcome-based team preferred.
