GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Preventive Maintenance Technician IV will be responsible for the repairs, and preventive maintenance of all production / research processes and facility systems
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute the CMMS preventive maintenance program of all equipment associated with the production / research processes, and facility systems.
- Oversee maintenance support on production equipment in FDA spaces during production events.
- Recommend and implement changes to work policies and equipment procedures. Recommends and establishes cost effective P/M procedures to maintain and improve equipment / system functionality.
- Reviews and approves PMs and SOPs
- Analyze maintenance problems which occur during production events and propose resolutions
- Ensure that all work is done in accordance with MassBiologics’ procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and cGxP regulations.
- Responsible for the development of maintenance methods, generating of SOPs, and identifying and procuring required standards.
- Trains staff in performing preventative maintenance on all equipment associated with production / research processes and facility systems ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and approved guidelines.
- Properly documents all work in CMMS system.
- Assists with scheduling of PM staff and outside contractors.
- Supervise PM staff as required; may perform evaluation of staff as required.
- Perform additional job related duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely , recognize deviations, and recommend corrective action within scope of training
- Previous experience in a cGxP environment is preferred
- Ability to troubleshoot within scope of training
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Word, Excel and other relevant electronic systems.
- Strong time management and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to apply engineering principles to problem solving
- Possesses well developed attention to detail, ability to maintain accurate records and excellent proofreading skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Demonstrated initiative through past experience
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
- Professional licensure preferred (validation of license required)
- Experience in the following areas is required:
- Mechanical Skills - Qualified candidates will have knowledge of mechanics, robotics, hydraulics test equipment, pneumatics and vacuum systems. Knowledge of tools and their use and a general understanding of how things work mechanically
- Electrical Skills – Understanding of electrical/electronic systems and practical experience with PLC operation and troubleshooting techniques.
- Will require off hour scheduling.
