We are seeking an outstanding individual for a fully funded postdoctoral position in the laboratory of Sally C. Kent, Ph.D. Her laboratory is examining the T cell autoreactive repertoire of islet-infiltrating T cells in human type 1 diabetes (Nature Medicine 22:1482-1487, 2016). Her research interests include 1) defining the repertoire, phenotype, function, and transcriptome of autoreactivity of islet-infiltrating T cells from donors with type 1 diabetes, 2) T cell receptor repertoire analyses, 3) analyses of other islet-infiltrating immune cells, and 4) transcriptome analyses of islet-infiltrating immune cells.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants should have a recent Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or an equivalent graduate degree and a first author publication in a peer-reviewed journal. We are seeking an individual with background and continued interest in human immunobiology, and especially in flow cytometry. We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated, creative and independent, with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational, writing and communication skills, and critical thinking abilities.
