The Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences in the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) consists of investigators engaged in dynamic and collaborative research. A postdoctoral position is available in this department to work on a project focusing on designing innovative strategies to uncover the role of sensory cilia in retinal degenerative diseases. The project will involve CRISPR/Cas9 approach to generate animal models, protein-protein interactions, and gene therapeutic strategies for retinal degenerative diseases using viral and non-viral methods.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Ph.D. in biomedical sciences with experience in molecular and cell biology.  Familiarity with designing and conducting small animal models is highly desirable.
