The  Horae Gene Therapy Center (GTC) in the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) consists of investigators from several departments engaged in dynamic and collaborative research.  The GTC provides an appropriate environment for nurturing cross-disciplinary studies. A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences and Horae Gene Therapy Center at UMMS. This collaborative project focuses on designing innovative CRISPR/Cas9-mediated therapeutic strategies for retinal degenerative diseases using viral and non-viral methods for delivery tools.

REQURIED QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications: A Ph.D. in biomedical sciences with experience in molecular and cell biology.  Familiarity with designing and conducting small animal models is highly desirable.
