An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Hong-Sheng Li at the Department of Neurobiology, University of Massachusetts Medical School.

The department is devoted to model-organism neurobiology, and harbors various expertise on molecule genetics, in vivo imaging, electrophysiology, and behavioral studies.  The Li Lab has a broad interest in basic molecular mechanisms underlying the brain function.   Using Drosophila as the primary genetic model, the lab is currently investigating how neuroglia regulates neuronal signaling and exploring neuronal functions of Ca2+/Calmodulin-binding transcription activators (CAMTA).  Here we are recruiting motivated postdoctoral fellows to study these topics using both fly and mouse systems.

PhD required.  Candidates for this position are expected to have strong experience in molecular cloning, neuronal cell culture and in mouse or fly genetics.  Training on electrophysiology is a plus.

To apply, please send a cover letter describing research interest, a copy of CV, and contact information of three references to Hong-Sheng.Li@umassmed.edu.
