Postdoctoral scientist
A postdoctoral position is available in Zuoshang Xu’s laboratory to study mechanism of motorneuron degeneration in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a fatal neurodegenerative disease. We are studying how mutant genes such as SOD1, PFN1 and TDP-43 cause motor neuron degeneration and ALS. Techniques utilized include transgenic mice, cell culture, fluorescent imaging, and other molecular, cellular and biochemical approaches.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Highly motivated scientists with a Ph.D., proficiency in molecular biology and a strong interest in neurodegenerative disease are encouraged to apply.
