We are looking for a talented Senior PeopleSoft Functional Analyst to support, maintain, upgrade and enhance the Student system. The Senior PeopleSoft Functional Analyst will be joining a highly energized and motivated team. The focus of this position is to provide analysis, trouble shooting, planning, testing, training and customer assistance. The team supports 3 separate graduate level schools with unique needs. The future holds new initiatives/projects that will expand your knowledge and skills.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the maintenance of new or existing information systems. This includes user and vendor liaisons at the policy level
    • Develop business plans to evaluate cost/benefit and feasibility studies with recommendation of best alternatives
    • Responsible for the assurance of quality control and risk management procedures during the life cycle application development process
    • Participate extensively (via committee membership or individual interviewing) in the needs assessment and system requirement process of all business and clinical applications development and implementation
    • Direct and manage the on-going project implementation systems to ensure that quality, delivery, and time management goals are met
    • Work closely with users to implement related system configurations on business or clinical applications and support ongoing system administration, communications, troubleshooting, defect tracking and reporting needs
    • Ensure development of policies and procedures for new and existing systems, including application and end user documentation and training
    • Set standards for system enhancements, definition of user requirements, software acceptance criteria and end user technical support
    • Evaluate requests for system enhancements, upgrades and interfaces with vendors and provide support including environment management, release testing and deployment
    • Responsible for all aspects of the program development cycle from project definition through system implementation. Develop and control project plan and coordinate resources to accomplish project objectives
    • Monitor project status and provide periodic status reports
    • Participate in software development process as necessary
    • Ensure accuracy of application systems documentation
    • Perform other duties as required.

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or equivalent experience
  • 7 years of related experience, including some project management experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work among multiple constituencies and complex environments
  • Innovation, flexibility, and creativity
  • Product level understanding the needs of users, roadmap, future trends for the domain.

 

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6+ years of experience as a PeopleSoft Business Analyst
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
  • Excellent testing and documentation skills
  • Proficient with PS Query
  • PeopleSoft Security
  • Complete understanding of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture
  • Application and Tool Version – 9.0 + and 8.53 +
  • Experience in working in scrum/agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of STAT
